I'm an senior designer with a good UX background, specialized in mobile apps. I'm also experienced in (micro-)animations and prototyping using After Effects. Besides that, i'm self-employed as a graphic designer to do all the other fun things i'm interested in.

I love running, cycling, music and I am a (beach)volleyball enthusiast. Because of that, i'm also involved in the volleyballteam of my two daughters. I also try playing the guitar once in a while - not very successfully though.
Work history
2006 - present, Expert Mobile Design @KBC
Since 2006 i've been working as a graphic designer at KBC in Leuven. The first few years i just picked up where i left off at Telenet, working on the KBC website. Then suddenly, i was asked to work for 6 months in top secret team. It had something to do with a mobile app... That's where my career changed drastically: i had to learn a load of new design- and navigation patterns, not to mention the differences in the operating systems. It was a challenge, but the effort was all worth it. From that moment, i was the dedicated mobile designer for all apps KBC ever launched. The last few years i'm even the spoc for our foreign sister companies when it comes to mobile applications.
2000 - 2006, Webdesigner & Webdeveloper @Telenet
My first real job! I had the opportunity to take an internship at Telenet for three months as a webmaster. After the internship they offered me a job. I learned almost everything there. From simple HTML pages to dynamic PHP and JSP pages. From cropping images in Photoshop to streaming media - yes, it was us that set up the first Studio Brussel stream on the internet - and Flash Animations. It was all about experimenting and getting as many people as possible to http://breedband.telenet.be. It was the showcase site of Telenet to promote their fast internet connection. So it was full of video, music and heavy Flash animations. Fun fun fun... but all good things come to an end. :)
